I suggest to stop inventing automatic mechanisms of switching 5V voltage between USB port and integrated buck converter.
Such a solution is sometimes troublesome for users.
It proposes to add an ordinary 3-pin jumper.
Thanks to it, the user will consciously choose a power source for logical circuits.
And will bear the consequences, only his actions.
The jumper would allow switching the 5V power supply between the USB port and the integrated buck converter.
The only application that comes to my mind for the use of power from the USB port is firmware update.
