ive talked about this a bit in my discord, the summary is that i personally do not see how a proper ui would be any more intuitive than the current system, and im yet to be convinced otherwise

as it is sga is for the most part very diagetic, however there really isn't a good way to get the player to enter text or read information without breaking this - commands provide a nice discoverable tree of options, and work nicely with the sharing feature

guis are way more intrusive and need to work well at different resolutions and aspect ratios

Using a book, book and quill possibly, while a target is selected could open up a gui that looks like a journal entry
