Recommended specs? CPU or GPU more important? #34
Comments
@Bruniiin The minimum requirements for launch are reflected on the github page. One way or another, while the emulator does not work very well even on powerful computers. |
I'm running fpPS4 on a 9th Gen i5 with iGPU. My test game, Sonic Mania runs at 25-30 FPS. Task Manager reports my CPU and GPU running at around 30% so there's either another bottleneck somewhere or there is a possibility to make it run faster. |
There's definitely a lot of room for improvement, my CPU bottlenecks at 5% usage while running Sonic Mania. And not sure why I got downvoted there haha |
Probably both a bottleneck and just that the emulator needs some further work. Plus most PS4 games run 30FPS natively anyways. |
Update: bottleneck is fixed after flyingtincan's commit, Undertale and Deltarune are now running at 30fps and Sonic Mania at 60 |
Not 60 in Sonic for me but definitely a noticeable improvement. |
@Bruniiin Not for me naw. I'm running on a AMD Ryzen 3 3200G without a GPU and i can play Sonic Mania between 50-60fps just fine. |
Close, please |
I know this emulator is in a very early state and I want to know what i'm getting into, does it require a monster PC to run or a fairly high end system like mine can handle this just fine?
