Option to disable swipe to scrub through a video

When I'm watching a video in landscape it hides the android navigation bar (the circle square and triangle soft keys) which is helpful so I can watch the video without distraction

But then I often try to swipe from the right edge of my phones screen to show the nav bar and it scrubs through the video and I loose my progress. I'd rather just use the seek bar than have a gesture that causes issues for me

It'd be nice to have an option to disable the gesture. There might be other ways the problem could be fixed though

Alternative Solutions

Maybe the swipe could be replaced with a doubletap gesture? I also frequently try to do that and realize it doesn't work
