Exposing schemas for BigQuery query results

Would it be possible to expose the QueryResponse schema field when getting the results of BigQuery queries? This would be a useful feature, especially for queries that are dynamically generated and may have a variable amount of columns in the result. I was able to hack it together for http queries, but I don't know how this would work for storage queries, etc.
