Issue Submitting Student ID for GitHub Education #152099
-
Hi everyone,I am having trouble applying for GitHub Education because my student ID card contains required information on both sides, but I can only upload a single image. I previously tried combining both sides into one photo, but my submission was denied because the image appeared to be edited. The front of my ID contains government approval and the school year (2024-2025), while the back includes my name, surname, birth date, school year, and field of study. Since all this information is necessary, how should I proceed to submit my ID correctly? I have already asked in the GitHub Education Community but haven't received a solution. I would really appreciate your guidance on this issue. I also tried to contact support team, but they always send me here. Thank you for your time and assistance. |

Hi there! If you can't find where to reach out to Github Support, here is the link: If you don't know how to create a ticket for your issue, here is a quick guide:
I hope you can be able to do the rest. I had a similar issue with my school neither being on the list nor on their Microsoft/Bing Maps so that I can add it, but I opened a ticket addressing this issue and got helped within 12 hours. Regards, |

Yes so under the "What do you need" page, you have to scroll down and select the 3rd last cause, i.e., "Github Education program or benefits". And then after that when the next page opens, just scroll down and select the last option, i.e., "Other Support".
After that, you'll get the ticket form. Select the help you need, subject and body/description and submit. Then just wait for a response. It usually takes comparatively less amount of time to get response from Github Education team rather than ordinary Github Moderation team.
