Yes I saw that later. I would recommend to introduce soft-dependency machanism that gives the user a proper exception and hinting to that multiple install options. How to do that, you can look into: https://github.com/alan-turing-institute/sktime/blob/24f6be86f95bfc1ec246dee7dcdd455e0a84a872/sktime/utils/validation/_dependencies.py#L5 This is then called in the particualar files that require additional packages that are not contained in the default installation. |
