Anti flickering LEDs

As any anti-flickering features (components) in the LEDs may interfere with the fast PWM operation, it is suggested to use the simplest possible LED lamps. The board has been tested with the cheapest China LEDs which contain only a LED (or two) plus a resistor.

No significant flickering or other problems were observed with these. These are the LEDs featured in the demo video.

Incandescents

The MOSFETs on the board are powerful enough to drive incandescent bulbs too. A test with all legacy bulbs shows a power consumption of about 0.1A at 18V per bulb when it is fully driven. However, it is not recommended to have more than half of the lamp matrix populated with incandescents.
